BISHOP JUDE N. EGBE’S EPISCOPAL CREST

The Most Reverend Jude N. Egbe, D.D
Bishop Jude N. Egbe’s Episcopal Crest captures all that represents him and all that he represents. His crest is designed after the African Zulu shield which represents his African ancestry and heritage. On and around the shield are symbols and motto of his Christian belief. On the left side of the crest is the Heritage Cross with seven connecting points representing completion and the wholeness of God.
On the upper right is the rising sun representing new beginnings and the lower right is the Gye Nyame, the Adinkra symbol of the omnipotence of God. “Except God, I fear none.”
His motto, UTUMISHI KWA MUNGU NA JIRANI (Swahili) means SERVICE TO GOD AND NEIGHBOR. He believes that in ministry one serves rather than be served.
